Meet our Founder
Benny Electric is owned and operated by Jonathan Bennett, a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician and third-generation tradesman based in Winnipeg.
Jonny grew up around electrical work. He started learning the trade at twelve years old, watching and helping the electricians in his family. By the time he was old enough to start an apprenticeship, the fundamentals were already second nature.
Nine years in the trade and four years as a Red Seal Journeyman later, he started Benny Electric to do electrical work the way he thinks it should be done – with precision, professionalism, and care for the people whose homes and businesses he's working in.
The Red Seal is Canada's national standard for skilled trades. It means an electrician has passed the inter-provincial certification and can work to the same standard across the country. For you, it means the person doing your electrical work has been tested and verified to a national benchmark.
